Recently, the same company that replaced the roof on St. Thomas Church made extensive repairs to St. Joseph Church. Slate was replaced on the roof, the gutters, which had ceased to channel rainwater, were replaced with new gutters, and the chimney, which was structurally unsound, was rebuilt. Also, the back stair case to the sacristy was repaired, potholes in the parking lot were repaired, and the driveway used by the Presentation Sisters who live in St. Joseph Rectory now was repaved.
A new organ was purchased under the guidance of Joyce Hoffman to replace the aged Rodgers organ, which just stopped working. The $7,000 purchase was made possible the work of our volunteers in our Bingo Ministry (yes, I said “Ministry”!). Many thanks to them for making it possible!
